Cougars Make a Good Showing
This past Saturday, September 26, the Newnan Cross Country team competed in the Sandy Creek Invitational at Sandy Creek High School.
Many teams were there to show the state how far they have come this season. Newnan definitely performed to the highest level they possibly could have.
Jonathan Ballantyne, the number one runner for the Cougar Cross Country team, came in second place out of over a hundred runners for he Class 5A race and earned a medal.
In the Women's Class 5A race, Newnan was represented twice in the top twenty-five. Sandy Gamino came in eleventh, and Katie DAvis came in twentieth; both also earned medals.
The Cougars will be back to the races on October 3 at the Asics Invitational at McIntosh Reserve. Come out and support the Newnan Cross Country team.
