Roses and Thorns
We have all either had our cell phones taken or know someone who lost his phone to administration. Now your phone can not be taken after 3:30. Roses to that but respect the new policy. Let's still keep phones on silent and away during class.
Although spirit was high at the game in Carrollton and the football team executed many great plays, an inconsistency in performance lead to a loss 27-7. although we took a loss, the team made a great effort and is looking to pull off the win here at the first home game. We take the thorn now but hope to return it to South Gwinett this week.
We all remember exactly where we were on that fateful day, September 11, 2001. In Newnan Square, the United Way held a colorguard ceremony and the laying of a wreath was conducted by the Boy Scouts. Also, select restaurants on the square donated ten percent of profits to the United Way. Roses to remembrance and generosity!
Residents and travelers of Greenville Street are becoming increasingly annoyed with the tractor trailer trucks that use the street as a detour from interstate traffic. This extra traffic tears up roads, backs up local traffic and causes everyone trouble. Thorns to the inconsiderate truck drivers.
