Newnan Suffers Loss in Carrollton

Newnan suffered an unfortunate loss to the Carrollton Trojans on Friday, September 7.

The Cougars struggled early on in the game, trailing 20-0 at halftime. The final score of the night was a disappointing 27-7.

All props to Russell Powell who threw a 19-yard scoring strike to Kristopher Yeats to finish off a 55-yard, eight-play drive for a score.

Coach Herring said for the Newnan Times Herald, "We've got to get more consistent on offense, so we don't put the defense in a hole like we did so many times tonight."

The next game will be Friday, September 14, at Drake Stadium.
