Komen Pattharapanich

For the past month, Newnan High has been home to Komen Pattharapanich of Thailand. Komen says that even though things like tradition, culture, people, the school system, and attitude towards other people greatly differ from those in Thailand he still like Newnan High. He says because it is "A country of freedom, opportunity, and choice," he loves America so much.

Komen like to play tennis and badminton and bowl.

Also, Komen is an artist. He has been drawing for two years now and has never taken a formal art class. Komen stated, "I really don't like when i have to copy other artist's works. It takes away from my own imagination and style. Because of this, most everything I draw comes from my own imagination. For me, my characters are my friends, not just pictures." Komen says that he's dreamt of becoming an animator for cartoon companies such as Walt Disney or Pixar. He's even begun creating his own animations in 3D.
