Powers Crossroads Weekend
The 37th Annual Powers Crossroads County Fair and Art Festival brought families from all over the southeast. This three day festival features many activities including T. Graham, Bell concert with local duo Adam Grant and Robert E.
The "Rising Star" singing competition was held with three different age group winners. Alan C. Jackson won age group 15 to 18 years old, Rachel Jarrell in the 19 to 34 year old age group, and Richard McKean in the 35 and up age group.
Monday, students from Coweta County school had performances. Many tents were also along pathways filled with handmade crafts from turned wood pepper grinders and wheel-thrown and fired clay pottery to decorative arts, leather goods, painting, and photography.
There were also many different kinds of foods there. . .fried pies, hamburgers, foot-long hotdogs, funnel cakes, vegetable plates, Johnny Brown's bar-be-que. Churches made bar-be-que chicken and lots of other goodies.
Powers Crossroads had an awesome turn out--with lots to do and see and eat!
