Mrs. Carol Toole--Art Teacher

This week's featured teacher is Mrs. Carol Toole. She has been teaching art for twenty-seven years, but this year is her twelfth at NHS. She graduated from the University of West Georgia and Walden University with a Bachelor of Arts. She teaches a variety of art classes from Visual Arts to Applied Design to Drawing.

Mrs. Toole enjoys teaching young people and watching them develop as people and artists. She is delighted when students produce successful artwork that gives them confidence.

Mrs. Toole's favorite piece of art is "Clouds" by Georgia O'Keefe. Her favorite artist is Rene Magritte because he paints realistically yet imaginatively. She believes graffiti can be a form of art if is is artistically executed and if it is legal.

This year, Mrs. Toole is currently mentoring eleven elementary art teachers at nine elementary schools. She is visiting to observe their teaching and to provide support to them.
