Guns in Coweta Local Parks

Georgia Carry is a gun rights organization. The organization has asked Coweta County to repeal the local gun law that prohibits the possession of a firearm in a local park. Coweta County has refused to repeal the law.

Georgia Carry then sued the county. The organization argued the point that if parents do not have guns in the park they can not defend their children. It is predicted that a decision will be announced by early 2008.

If Coweta repeals the law, it will be one of many counties that has. Kennesaw and Gwinnett have both repealed the law.
