Newnan's Last Match

Wednesday, April 30 was Newnan girls tennis team's last match. They were in the round of 16 in the state playoffs. Newnan was defeated by Warner Robbins 3-2. One and two singles were first off, and they were both victorious. Newnan lost the next three matches.

The match came down to number two doubles, Samantha Scott and Katie Gordon. They lost 7-5 in the third set.

Seniors Shannon Betts, Samantha Scott and Dichinda Terrel played their last match at Newnan High School that day, but it was a good season.
