Roses and Thorns
Although many went into the prom with negative thoughts, there was no denying that the "Red Carpet Affair" theme was spectacular. With great food and whimsical atmosphere, this event was a great experience for all involved. Beautiful gowns and sharp tuxes lined the streets of Newnan all afternoon. Thank you to all who made this celebration possible. Roses to a Hollywood worthy event you didn't want to miss.
"If you don't know your number, head to the back of the line." These words were enough to send fury to hundreds who were not announced during the senior walk. Most were not informed that a number was needed to have their names announced. Lack of communication has once again struck and left many seniors disappointed. Although all were given the opportunity to walk, thorns to the disorganization.
Friday night at the Westminister School belonged to the Newnan GymCats. The girls brought home the state title after only three years of the program being at Newnan. The win was a wonderful way to finish out the year for Elizabeth Davis, Chelsea Glory, Maureen Kookogey, and Kristen Pirie who are all graduating seniors and who fought for the program as freshmen. Roses to the state champs! Way to go, girls.
Some days you may feel like I do in the fact that the ridiculous graffiti looks like the kindergarten class was let loose rather than some hardcore "gangstas." Newnan Police say that they are concerned with all the spray painted apparant-gang-related graffiti all over local businesses. No other crimes have been linked to this situation, but maybe more art classes should be offered for the little deviants. Thorns to the creators of the graffiti problem.
