State Champs in Gymnastics

Newnan's GymCats won the state championship on May 2. They won with a total score of 110.25. The team's combined effort is what brought the championship home. All team members received 9's in their events. Paige Pirie place fifth on bars, and Elizabeth Davis finished fifth on floor.

The state championship took place at the Westminster School. The GymCats consist of Seniors Elizabeth Davis, Chelsea Glory, Maureen Kookogey, and Kristen Pirie. There is one sophomore, Haley Todd, and two freshmen, Paige Pirie and Haley Pilgreen.

It is only the third year the GymCats have existed, but they obviously started strong.
