T'Erica Dawson
"In Recognizing the humanity of our fellow beings, we pay ourselves the highest tribute."
-Thurgood Marshall
Recently, T'Erica Dawson, a freshman, participated on the Mock Trial Team and won an "Outstanding Witness Award." In honor of her achievement, Mrs. Sherry Cornay nominated T'Erica for student spotlight, and this week, she was selected.
In her youth, T'Erica was "forced" to sing in her church's children's choir. At first she did not at all like or enjoy it, but as time passed, she grew to love it.
T'Erica's favorite hobby is shopping. During the summer before middle school, T'Erica's mother gave her money to go shopping. That day, T'Erica felt a euphoria that she does everything in her power to hold on to every day of her life.
For college, Ms. Dawson will attend Duke University. Once there, she hopes to attain a degree in Criminal Defense.
T'Erica loves to watch "High School Confidential." She really appreciates how the show portrays high school children going through real life problems and how well se can relate to the show.
