Cougars Roll over the Bulldogs
Newnan baseball had their Senior Night on Monday, April 28th against the Tri-Cities Bulldogs. The Seniors and their parents walked out on the field before the game, and the announcer said a few things about each of the players. Each Senior was in the starting line-up, and it turned out to be an okay plan when the Cougars won 9 - 0.
The starting pitcher for the Cougars was Steven Tarkenton, and he was later relieved by Zach Farmer. Their combined performance was a good one allowing only two hits and one walk the entire game.
The Cougars whole line-up had hits including at least one form each Senior which was ironic because of Senior Night. That game could be the last that Billy Dancy, Kevin Dunn, Braden Griner, Tyler Marchman, and Colson McMichael ever play on Joe Pope field so it was good for them to go out on a good note.
