Lady Cougars' Soccer Team Victor Over Luella Lions

The Newnan Lady Cougars' soccer team defeated the Luella Lions at Newnan on Wednesday, April 23. The Cougars' victory allowed them to advance onto the next round of state playoff games. The Cougars won 7-0 against the Lions.

Anna Wierzbicki scored the first goal of the match in the seventh minute. Whitney Mann scored the next goal of the game off Margaret McMichael's corner kick. Megan McAlpin scored with four minutes left in the first half. McAlpin scored two more goals to start off the second half. The final goal of the game was scored by Margaret McMichael.
