Public Safety Appreciation Week
Public Safety Appreciation Week is a time to say thank you to all our public safety officials. This event is the tenth anniversary of the Coweta Public Safety luncheon. The annual luncheon was held on Friday, May 2nd. The luncheon is to honor all our Public Safety agencies in Coweta.
This luncheon is funded from money collected by selling "Loyal Blue Ribbons." These ribbons are to show support for our public servants. The ribbons were $5 and could be purchased at Murphey's Florist in downtown all week long.
Any money left over from the fund raisers goes to the Public Safety Benevolent Fund. The fund is to help public safety personnel in times of financial hardships or medical emergencies.
