Roses and Thorns

It would be hart to miss the beautiful, blue ribbons hanging all over town. These are representing appreciation for sacrifices made by public safety workers. Tuesday morning's moment of silence was dedicated to these wonderful men and women who have made it their profession to look out for the safety and well being of all. Roses to our community's support for this particular group.

Three hours anywhere for a high school student is enough to make him or her insane. The EOCT schedule is gruesome, mostly for those who can't snooze it all away. I think I speak for all of the student body when I say I will be glad to see it go for two reasons. Three hours in one place will just be a bad memory, and we will be just three weeks from graduation. Thorns to EOCT testing and the terrible schedule it brings.

A National Day of Prayer was held May 1st, and Coweta County was in full celebration. A prayer service was held at First Baptist in downtown. Kiwanis Club held its annual Prayer Breakfast. These are just some of the major events, but businesses all over town, such as Chik-fil-a, are observing this event. Roses to this great Christian day.

Reading the sports page on any given day is quite agitating if you are in the Newnan Times-Herald. I can read six different articles about the Indians ladies, men and every sport possible and only one Cougar article crammed to the bottom of the page. Do not get me wrong; I am very thankful for the up-to-date news brought by our local paper, but thorns to what seems like favoritism.
