Mrs. Johnson

Ever wanted to get a glimpse into Mrs. Johnson's life? As an administrator at NHS most students and parents know who she is, but how many people know her current hobby or where she grew up?

Take a look at this Q&A with Mrs. Johnson:

What made you decide to work at NHS?
Mrs. Johnson: I interviewed for the position, and Dr. Barker gave me the opportunity to become a Cougar. As part of the interview process, I visited the NHS campus and just knew it was where I was meant to be.

Where did you grow up?
Mrs. Johnson: I grew up in Detroit, Michigan where my dad worked in factories and my mom stayed home and raised the four of us children.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?
Mrs. Johnson: Right now, my hobby is school. I'm working on my doctorate, and I spend every spare minute reading research articles and writing papers. When I am not taking classes, I love being outdoors. I like to play golf, attend sporting events, and go to the movies.

What is your favorite quote and why is it your favorite?
Mrs. Johnson: My favorite quote is actually a Bible verse - "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." It is my favorite because it inspires me when I encounter difficult situations and challenges. Everything I have accomplished in my life is a blessing.

Who are your inspirations?
Mrs. Johnson: Two of my former principals inspired me and influenced my leadership style. They gave me opportunities to grow and were excellent examples of visionary leaders.

If you could have any other job, what would it be?
Mrs. Johnson: There is no other place I would rather be. I love what I do and cannot see myself doing anything else.

Do you have any pets? If so, what kind?
Mrs. Johnson: No, I do not have any pets. I spend so little time at home it would be unfair to any animal. But, I love dogs and enjoy my daughter's mini-pinscher when she comes home for a visit.
