Newnan Baseball Team Defeats Tri-Cities
On Saturday, April 26, the Newnan Cougars' baseball team defeated Tri-Cities 15-1 at Tri-Cities. The whole line up along with the substitutions had hits. Zach Farmer pitched a complete game allowing only two hits and no walks. The defense behind Farmer played a solid game by not committing any errors. The game was called early in the sixth inning due to lightning. The Cougars' win against Tri-Cities was a region win.
The Newnan Cougars were back in action on Monday, April 28, at Newnan against Tri-Cities again. The Cougars won once more. The score was 9-0.
