Botox Helps Boy Walk
Two years ago, then-seven-year-old William Scott was diagnosed with Perthes disease, a disease that weakens and breaks down his hip joints. His family never expected him to walk again, but his doctors proposed a very unusual and unexpected treatment--Botox injections.
The four-month treatment of Botox injections relaxed his muscles to allow them to properly heal.
"I am so proud of William. He deals with the situation brilliantly," Ms. Scott told The Daily Mail. "To see him walk again was just incredible."
