$1,000 Found in a Videotape

An eleven-year-old girl named Mikela Mercier struck luck when she found $1,000 inside a Richard Simmons videotape at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Reportedly, Mikela rushed to look for her mom when she found the money and her mom told her that she needed to return it. THe store manager quickly put out a news release about the discovery and praised Mikela for her honesty.

The money was given back to the Salvation Army so that the agency could help more people in need.
