The Newnan Cougar football team won against Mundy's Mill on Friday 26; the score was 49 to 21. Newnan's offense was dominating.

Russell Powell, Newnan's quarterback, racked up 326 yards, 112 of them in rushing and another 158 yards in passing. Keandreas Wynn was not in the lineup Friday due to an injury. In place of Wynn was Mitchell who pound away for 88 yards on 16 carries. Mitchell also had 3 touchdown runs for 12, 2, and 4 yards.

Newnan's defense allowed only 21 points, but it was the most points scored on the Cougars since the Carrollton game this season.

Overall, the Newnan Cougars played great advancing their record to 7 - 1.
