Red Ribbon Week

This week is Red Ribbon Week at Newnan High School. Red Ribbon Week is a week dedicated to discouraging students from doing drugs and making other foolish choices. This event is sponsored by SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions). Though Red Ribbon Week is an excellent effort by Newnan High School to remind students of the importance of their daily decisions, it is also important for us as teenagers to remember the pledges we make during this week the rest of the week as well.

Remember year 'round the choices you make (or made) this week. Pledging that you will make good, safe choices does not mean pledging to a life in the nunnery; it means pledging to put your own and others' safety above your "need" to have "fun." Seriously, consider the impact this week could have on you, and make some important decisions.
