Joshua Tuck
Joshua Tuck is an eighteen year old senior at Newnan High. He is also the SGA president. He said he wanted to become SGA president because he wanted to help bring new and fresh ideas to the school and also to be able to show the students a good example of leadership which encompasses serving, loving, treating others correctly, being friendly to all, and being truthful and honest.
Joshua's schedule for this year is Percussion I, Advanced English IV, Forensic Science, Trigonometry. One of his two favorite classes is Advanced English IV with Mrs. Headley because he is a big fan of British Literature, and he really enjoys all the action, romance, and tragedy. He also enjoys Trigonometry because Mrs. Kight is a great math teacher, and she is very good at helping him to understand math which is not his greatest subject.
The people who have inspired Joshua to do as well as he has so far include a large number of people, but a few of them are his mother and father (Annie and Johnnie Tuck), his brothers (Jeremy Tuck and Marcus Reeves), Martin Luther King, Jr., Numerous ministers and pastors, Barack Obama, and most importantly, Jesus Christ.
Josh's hero is Jesus Christ simply because of His amazing ability for self sacrifice and perfect love.
Josh is passionate about three things: his faith (which he loves sharing with other people because he thinks the fact that there is someone who died for him on a cross is absolutely incredible), his music (he loves creating new music and helping reach others with it), and doing the right thing and treating others right.
One thing Josh is looking forward to in his senior year is continuing his efforts with SGA and also helping more with FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students) and its programs. When he graduates,s he wants to be remembered for being a good, Christian student.
Josh is planning to attend Georgia State University in the fall of 2010. He is looking at majoring in Biology because he is really interested in the field of Medical Research (which includes finding cures for disease, developing new medicines and learning how to improve the current ones).
If Joshua could spend the day with any celebrity, it would be President Obama because he really admires him for the drive, passion, and courage President Obama has shown while running for the presidency and while in office.
Joshua really enjoys playing instruments. Josh has been playing the piano for about five years and the drums for about ten years. Josh started playing both instruments at church. He is currently learning how to play bass guitar and will eventually learn lead guitar so he can be a more well-rounded musician.
The adjectives Joshua Tuck said would describe him are loving, caring, considerate, intelligent, Christian, musical, and enduring. The motto JOsh says he lives by is Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them what love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." That takes away the stress of living for him.
Josh Tuck is a well-rounded, high achieving student who has a very bright future ahead of him which makes him perfect to be a spotlight student.
