United States Drones Protect Ships from Somali Pirates
Somali pirates have always caused trouble to many French trade ships, until now. The United States has launched 36 foot long Reapers that can fly about sixteen hours and are capable of carrying a dozen guided bombs and missiles. Reapers are computer controlled drones that can spot a target from the sky. The Reapers are launched from aircraft carriers in the ocean. Launching the Reapers is a tactic mainly used as a warning for the Somali pirates to stop, but if they continue taking hostages and supplies, the Reapers will shoot the pirates' vessels.
