NHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF 05/05/08

 

Only seniors with gold permits are allowed to park in gold lots. These seniors must park in a parking space. All others with be ticketed.

Reminder gold lots must be cleared by 4:00 p.m. daily.

 

LitWits will meet Thursday, May 15 at 8:00 a.m. for the final meeting of the year.  We will discuss Things Fall Apart.

 

*Attention Students:  If you plan to get your learner’s permit during the summer months, you will need to request your certificate of attendance from Ms. Wells in the Guidance Department BEFORE Friday, May 16, 2008.  If you plan to get your driver’s license during the summer months, you will need to request your certificate of attendance from Ms. Wells and your ADAP letter from Mrs. Justiss in the Registrar’s Office before Friday, May 16, 2008.

 

All current and new SGA officers need to meet in Mrs. Benton’s room at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday morning.

 

There will be a Beta Club officers meeting May 19 at 8:00 a.m. in room 912.

 

“Congratulations to the NHS GymCats on their championship meet!  Newnan scored 110.25 points to bring home the cup from the GHSA state championship on Friday night.  They are our “Magnificent Seven!” Way to go, girls!!”

 

Congratulations to NHS Girls Track Team. The team finished 3rd in the State. Canesha Edwards placed 1st in the long jump and 5th in the high jump. Chalonda Goodman placed 1st in the 100M and 200M. She broke the 100M state record that was set in 1986. Danielle Snead, Canesha Edwards, Angelica Whaley, and Chalonda Goodman placed 3rd in the 4X100 and 4th in the 4X400M. Congratulations girls.

 

National Honor Society will hold a brief meeting after school Tuesday, May 6 in Mrs. Cleary’s room.  Seniors and juniors need to attend.  If you are unable to attend, please see Mrs. French or Mrs. Cleary for information.

 

Attention all JV and varsity girl soccer players - There will be 2 MANDATORY meetings this week.

Wednesday – meeting on practice field

Thursday – meeting in room 1004 in the ninth grade building

All rides must be here by 4:30 p.m.
