Did you know that the construction of the burial grounds of Chinese  Emperor Qin Shi Huangwho unified the empire in 221 BCinvolved almost 700,000 workers? Believing that he would continue to rule in the afterlife, Qin Shi Huang ordered a complete imperial compound built underground. Amazingly, it included thousands of life-size terracotta soldiers.
