Sign in when you
enter the media center AND sign out when you leave.
Individuals and small groups must have
signed passes from teachers, including during lunchtime. Passes must be
obtained daily.
Students should stay in the media center during
the entire lunchtime.
Borrowing Policy
Students are allowed to check out 5 books.
Books are always due on Fridays.
Reference books (REF) and literary criticism
(NON CIRC) cannot be checked out.
Students should
not check out materials for other students as any item under a student’s
name is that student’s responsibility.
Students must clear any fine and/or overdue
before checking out another item, including items used for class
assignments.
Fines are .10 per
school day per item.
Students are responsible for renewing items,
including novels needed for class.
Computer Use
There are 22 computers in the media center for
research use. Any non-school activities on the computers is
strictly prohibited.
Sit at a computer
only if you are using the computer and keep the chairs in front of each
computer.
Copying
and printing are .10 per page for students. There are no IOU’s.
Internet-based email CANNOT be accessed on the
school computers.
General Information
No food or drinks are
allowed in the media center.
Place book bags and larger bags at the front on the counter next to the
couches.
Keep talking to a minimum.
If students are not engaged in a school-related
activity, they will be asked to leave.
