NORTHGATE SENIORS - Important Upcoming Information and Dates


Balfour will here during all lunches, Tues. & Wed. Oct. 25 & 26 and November 15 & 16 taking Senior Fee payments and orders for Caps & Gowns.
The fee is $100.00 and includes cap & gown, the senior dinner and dance, and all graduation activities.
Cash, Check or Money Orders only, NO credit cards

December 3rd - at 6:30 pm - Senior Winter dinner and dance


January 12 - Balfour at lunches to take cap and gown and announcement orders and collect dues


January 19 - Senior Students and Parents:

Have you completed the FAFSA? (The FAFSA provides grants, loans, and work-study funds for college or career school.)

If your family has not completed the FAFSA, please come to Northgate January 19th 6-8pm Room 217 for help from a Georgia Student Finance Commission representative.

Parents, you will need to bring your 2015 tax return information and social security numbers for parent and student.

 Important Steps to College:
  • Register to take the ACT or SAT- prepare for test- Khan Academy

  • Apply to 3 or 4 colleges

  • Request your transcript in the Career Center

  • Scholarship information is in the Career Center and online

Georgia Apply to College Day is Nov 3rd. The Guidance Lab will be open 8 am - 3 pm for students to complete college applications. Counselors, teachers, and college admission representatives will be available to help.

The FAFSA, officially known as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is the form that families fill out to apply for federal grants, loans, and work-study funds for college students. For the Class of 2017, the FAFSA is now available for students and parents to complete and information from the 2015 tax return will be used when completing the FAFSA.  More information is available here.
