Northside General Information:

Northside Elementary School is located on the outskirts of Newnan in Coweta County, Georgia, thirty miles southwest of Hartsfield International Airport.  We serve the community northeast of Newnan and west of I-85. The school rests on 16.48 acres of wooded countryside, maintaining a distinctive small town flavor amid a developing community.

Presently Northside serves grades Pre K3-5, housing approximately 535 students. In addition to the general curriculum, we offer many different enrichment activities including Junior BETA Club, Chorus, after school Art Classes (for a nominal fee), after school Spanish Classes (for a nominal fee), the Cougar News Network (CNN) 5^th grade News Team, Academic Bowl Team competition, and Track Team competition. 

Northside boasts a very large and active volunteer program.  Parents help prepare bulletin boards, teaching games, and other materials, but their most rewarding times are spent working with individual or small groups of children. Our parents are great "ambassadors" who move into the community weekly spreading goodwill for the school's programs. 

Northside has progressed with the times, but its primary traditions remain constant:  dedication to students' individual needs and strong parental involvement.   Northside is truly “Committed to Excellence”.
