If you are one of the
400 that has already taken care of this, we really
appreciate
your promptness. If you have not submitted the 2008-
09 affidavit, please remember that we must have one on
file for each student attending Newnan Crossing.
Students
without a current affidavit on file will be withdrawn
from school on December 18th. We don't want your student
to be affected by a withdrawal, so please assist us by
submitting this required document prior to the December
18th deadline.
November was a busy month for
us as we participated
in two very important events. Newnan Crossing students
and parents worked together to collect 4,893 items for
the
Can-A-Thon, and we wish to especially thank those who
helped to box the items for pick-up. These included Mrs.
Harkabus and our Student Council, along with parent
volunteers, Mr. and Mrs. McMullen, Mrs. Rainwater, Mrs.
Herren, Mrs. Nigos, Mrs. McLaughlin, Mrs. Bradfield and
Mrs. Hennie-Roed. Our Veterans Day Program was
especially meaningful for us as we honored our veterans.
Several members of our staff who are veterans shared
their experiences with our students, and two of our
fifth
grade students, Maddie Reece and Katie Jones, shared
their written essays. Many of our students and staff
have
parents who have served and are continuing to serve. We
thank all of you for your service. Our NCES veterans
include Debbie Bouchard, Robin Braschler, Darren
Cooper, Jeana Hodnett, Leigh Jones, Mike Mitchell, Bill
Parks and Waikiki Upshaw.
