Can-A-Thon - Donate NOW!

The Coweta County Food Pantry is in desperate need of food, and our Can-A-Thon competition can help to restock their shelves! Though it's a "Can"-A-Thon, items don't have to be in cans. All nonperishable food items, such as pasta and cereal, are welcome and needed. *Cash donations are also appreciated. Each dollar donated will count as four food items. In past years, the food and money raised during the annual Can-A-Thon have stocked the food pantry for an entire year. Please send in all donations by November 20, 2009.

Parents as Partners - Setting Limits:
The next installment of Parents as Partners will cover Setting Limits.  Please join us at 11:00 AM or 7:00 PM on November 17 for this useful session.

Affidavit Reminder for Parents

To fulfill the requirements of a court order affecting the Coweta County School System, all parents, legal guardians, or other lawful custodians of students attending the Coweta County School System must sign under oath and deliver to the school his or her student is attending:

1. An Affidavit of Residence, AND

2. Two items from the following list for address verification:

A. property tax records which indicate the location of the residence

B. mortgage documents or a security deed which indicates the location of the residence

C. apartment or home lease or rent receipt indicating the current address

D. current utility bill for electricity or utility application for electricity showing the current address

E. voter precinct identification card or other voter documentation indicating the current address

Letters went home with students September 14th. Notarized affidavits and two listed items will be accepted between September 14 and December 18. Please note that the federal government requires the county to request these documents for several consecutive years which means that even though you submitted this information last year, you must turn in a second notarized affidavit and two current address verifications again this year. We appreciate your assistance in fulfilling this court ordered requirement.

If you need another copy of the form, please contact the school.
