I was born and raised in Montana and
graduated from Montana State University with a degree in elementary education.
My first teaching position was in fourth grade in Cut Bank, Montana. After
three years there, I moved to Canada and taught in private schools in Alberta,
British Columbia, and Ontario. During those two decades, I taught
kindergarten, first, second, fourth and sixth grades. From Canada, I moved
to Georgia in 1998. I continued in private education for two years, before
taking a primary E.I.P. position at Unity Elementary in Luthersville, GA.
In 2001, I was hired as the fourth and fifth grade E.I.P. teacher at Moreland.
IN the summer of 2001, I began working on a Master's degree in reading at the
University of West Georgia, and will graduate in May of 2007.
