A message from Principal Yeager

     Dear Parents and Students:

"Working together to be our best
Growing and learning is our Quest.”

Our motto says it best.  Moreland Elementary is committed to providing a dynamic instructional program aimed at building in our students solid foundations, sharp minds and a love for learning.
This year brings new opportunities.  As a Title I School, we’ll be targeting new technologies to enhance student instruction.  Melanie Perry will be serving as our “Explorations” teacher focusing on Georgia Performance Standard targets in grades 1, 2 and 3.   She’ll also be working with other grade levels as an Instructional Support Specialist for teachers and students.
We’ll be initiating a major renovation plan during this school year and though challenging, we look forward to the facility renewal that the renovation will provide.
We welcome Cathy Duncan to our second grade teacher team.  Cathy is a highly experienced second grade teacher who previously taught in Coweta County and Texas and brings her expertise to Moreland.
Please mark your calendar now to attend our Open House Night on Tuesday, August 14th as we welcome all our families with dinner, music, teacher sessions, and other special activities.  Look for an announcement flyer in the opening days.
I hope you will build a strong partnership with your student’s teacher.  Parent involvement and achievement go hand in hand.  This year we’ll host parent “date weeks” to encourage you or a family member to join your student for lunch.
We’re  anticipating a wonderful year.  Welcome back!
