My name is Betsye McDonald Menerey.  I graduated from West Georgia College with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  At the end of the 2006-2007 school year, I will complete 27 years of teaching.  The journey has been very gratifying.  I began my career at East Newnan Elementary School.  From East Newnan I moved to Mexico City and taught at a private school for several years.  Teaching and living there was a great cultural experience.  Mexico City had a population of 18 million at that time!  Quite a move for a Sharpsburg girl!  Houston, Texas was my home for three years where I taught second grade bilingual education.  Moreland captured my heart 18 years ago!
            I reside in Sharpsburg with my 10 dogs, 3 cats, 3 birds, and pig Wilma!  My son Joshua, his wife Carolina and son Danny are my shining stars!  We enjoy spending time together at the farm, traveling and music.
