Abbie Wakefield

Mrs. Wakefield was born in South Georgia and grew up on a farm.  Her mother instilled in her a love for music.  She started piano lessons at age eight, and continued taking piano and voice lessons throughout college.  In 1978 she graduated from Valdosta State University.  Her family has lived in Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia, but she enjoys living in Georgia the most.  Mrs. Wakefield is married and has two children.  This is her 25th year teaching in public schools, and it is her hope that her students will love and appreciate music all their lives.
