Moreland Elementary has been named a 2008 Gold Award winner by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.  Our school is one of only 13 elementary schools in the State of Georgia to receive this award for our 2007-08 school year student performance.  In addition to making AYP status every year, more than 30% of our students EXCEED state performance standards and school-wide we posted a meets and exceeds gain CRCT greater than 6.76%. 

 In addition, Moreland Elementary was named a Title I Distinguished School by the Georgia Department of Education.  We are proud of our student performance and credit our fine teachers and staff as we continually focus on providing an instructional program of the highest quality. 

 Our 2008 State Annual Yearly Progress Report reflects that 95% of our students in grades 3-5 met or exceeded expectations in reading and 89.5% met or exceed expectations in math.   We appreciate our parent and community support as we strive to provide a challenging elementary experience for all of our students.
