What is the purpose of this club?
It is our desire to reach out to young people and inspire good citizenship by educating them about the criminal justice system, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and its operating procedures and the Coweta County Judicial Circuit.

What are the membership requirements?

Students must be in grades 6-8 and maintain at least an A-B average. Students must not have been arrested within the last 12 months and must not be involved in any substance abuse, i.e. tobacco, alcohol and or drugs.  This academy is held at the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. All six Coweta County middle schools hold this academy together. Due to space restrictions, a maximum of 8 students may be selected from each school.

How often does the club meet?
This club meets for four weeks with two classes being held at Lee right after school and the last two held off campus. Times and dates will be scheduled the closer it gets to the beginning of the year.
