Hello and Welcome to First Grade at Elm Street Elementary!
I am so excited for you to join our group of "Fantastic Fish" this year! As you can tell from our website, first grade is bound to be busy and we will be working very hard this year. I can't wait!
Now, I am sure you are curious about me, so let me fill you in: this is my fifth year of teaching here at Elm Street as well as teaching First Grade. In the past five years, I have received my gifted certification, my Master's in Ed. with a specialization in Teaching and Learning, and I was named Elm Street's 2005-2006 Teacher of the Year. I have also gotten married to my wonderful husband, Brandon. We have a house in downtown Newnan where we live with our calico cat, Pea Picker, and our furry little dog, Chewy. It's been a busy five years! :)
As we spend time remodeling our home, I also love to cook, read, and travel to visit family, friends, and new places.
I can't wait to meet you and learn all about you!
