Clubs and Organizations

 *Please note that some of these groups have specific requirements students must meet in order to be eligible for the organization.

Name: Mission or Purpose: Faculty Advisor Planned Activities

Academic Bowl

To foster a competitive learning spirit.

Student participate in county-wide and RESA level competitions.


Student ambassadors will be dedicated to the positive promotion of Evans Middle School and will act as a liaison between Evans, parents and the community. Student ambassadors may be asked to act as a buddy to new students, welcome parents to after school events, and act as a school representative to new students and adults in the community.

The ambassadors will be hosts at assemblies where they will pass out programs, greet and escort guests, and hold the door for classes to enter and exit the assembly.  They will be invited to work a variety of events, including 5th grade night, Multicultural Assembly, Veterans’ Day Program, and 8th grade Career Day.  The ambassadors may also give tours to new students.

Beta Club

To honor students with high academic performance based on grade point average.

Students participate in induction ceremony and service projects to benefit the school and community.

Builder's Club To develop competent, capable, caring leaders through types of community service. Students participate in a variety of community service activities, including collecting plastic caps to help create wheelchairs to those who are in need of one.

Educational Talent Search

To encourage youth with academic potential to stay in school, graduate from high school, and undertake a program of post-secondary education.

Students participate in group meetings, academic support groups, career counseling, and test-taking workshops.

Evans Steppers A multicultural step team to promote unity, teamwork, discipline, and school spirit Students will perform at pep rallies, advertisements, and games.

Future Georgia Educators (F.G.E.)

 To expose students to the field of education.

Ferst Foudation Fundraiser

Assist teachers year-round

Teacher guest speakers

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (F.C.A.)

To encourage young people in their faith and daily lives.

Students meet for fellowship, fun, prayer requests, and brief lessons

Math AMP'd



Michelangelo's Art Club

To expose and promote the interest in visual arts.

Students participate in meetings throughout the year.  Their works are exhibited throughout the community.


A peer tutoring program matching 8th gr. students with 6th gr. students to provide guidance and mentoring support.

Meetings for basketball games and outside activities such as roller skating.

Science Olympiad

To create a passion for learning science by supporting elementary and secondary Science Olympiad tournaments. In-depth core curriculum training workshops & curriculum materials help achieve this club's goals.

Air Trajectory, Anatomy/Physiology, Bio-Process Lab, Bottle Rocket, Bridge Building, Crave the Wave, Crimebusters, Disease Detectives, Dynamic Planet, Elastic Glider Entomology, Green Generation and more.

Student Council

To develop and enhance school spirit and represent student body.

Students participate in a representative panel for decision-making and host school activities.
