Message from the Principal…

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

-Nelson Mandela

It is with great pleasure that I join the educational learning community of Evans Middle School.  I am proud to be the principal of such an outstanding school where standards and expectations are set to maximize the learning opportunities of all learners.  As the new leader of Evans Middle, I am committed to continuing to provide innovative and challenging educational experiences for all students where they develop a lifelong love of learning.  I am confident that the staff, parents, and community will work together to create the best learning environment for our students.

The staff of Evans Middle School is dedicated to providing the highest quality of education for the children who attend our school. We will create an environment where each and every student is given the attention necessary to achieve his/her individual success.  We believe in working as partners with parents and community to provide a positive school environment where children feel safe and secure. Working together to develop a professional learning community will continue to be a common goal of increasing the academic success of our students.  Children are held to high expectations and are encouraged to develop their optimal academic, social, and personal potential.

I am excited and looking forward to the opportunity to form truly meaningful partnerships within our school.  The diversity of our community and commitment to excellence is what makes our school such a vibrant and exceptional environment for learning.

As a team, we will...

Encourage Excellence, Value Work Ethic, Accept Differences, Navigate Success, & Shape Futures.

We will empower and encourage our students to be successful!

Vera Perry-Harris
