The
Parent-Teacher Organization is an
important link between the parents and
the school. The PTO organizes a
volunteer force for school-wide and
classroom support. The PTO engages in
fundraising activities for the
educational and recreational benefit of
the school, its children, teachers and
staff.

Scrip
Orders:
SCRIP is one of
the easiest and most convenient fundraisers
at Eastside Elementary.
SCRIP is a gift
certificate program for local and nation
wide stores. These certificates are used
just like cash. The merchants discount the
purchase of these gift certificates to the
school. Parents order certificates and
receive the full face value of the gift
certificate. Since the merchants discount
the cost to the school the difference
becomes fundraising income. The school
discount on gift certificates varies by
merchant, but ranges from 2% -20%. SCRIP
gift certificates make great gifts for
birthdays, holidays, Mother’s Day, Father’s
Day – so stock up now! Grandparents and
other family members can participate by
viewing/selecting gift certificates from a
SCRIP order form. Use SCRIP for home
improvement projects, thank you gifts,
babysitter gifts, and for your everyday
shopping.
Publix Cards:
Every time you shop at Publix, ask the
cashier to scan your card. Eastside
receives a rebate on all your purchases!
Ask your teacher for one if you do not have
one yet!
Kroger
Cards:
Link your
Kroger card and Eastside received a rebate
on all your purchases! Ask your teacher for
a form that needs to be scanned only one
time!
Remember, help
isn’t just needed at PTO events… Ask your
child’s teacher if you can help in class.
This could be something as simple as
stapling papers at home one evening. The
teachers would appreciate any help. Thank
you!
Be on the
lookout for Spirit Wear Sales! Get
your new spirit wear shirts. Show
everyone that "Eastside Bobcats Rock."
Shirts are available in youth and adult
sizes.
Spirit Night! The 1st
Thursday of each month will be Spirit Night
at Redneck Gourmet from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
Enjoy a great dinner and support Eastside.
After a delicious dinner, wander up the
street to Second Hand Sam's. Eastside gets
10% of the profits between 5 and 8pm. Thank
