The Grammar Pages: How They Work
General Instructions:
The grammar pages are an ongoing record of yours that you will find to be an invaluable tool in ALL of our work together. Keeping the grammar pages will be a part of your evaluation--that is how you are doing in Latin. The grammar card becomes your own personal summary of everything you are learning of Latin grammar.
I will give to you the first week of classes some blank Grammar Pages that you will use to summarize new grammar in class.
Every time we go over something new in class, you will find a place on the Grammar Pages to summarize what we have learned. So, it is really important that you keep your Grammar Pages with you in your binder all the time.
What Students say about this:
Over the years, my students in both Latin and Greek, at every level have told me that these grammar pages helped them as much as anything else we did, and they urged all new students to do it and keep up with it all along. This is wisdom from students to students. I pass it along to you.
Students also warn
that if you don't keep up with the grammar pages and use them often,
it becomes a burden and a crutch! We don't need either of those. If you
keep up with the Grammar Pages all along, then for any test or evaluation we
are doing, you have instant study notes.
Look in the lists below to
see what should currently be on your grammar pages.
