CONGRATULATIONS!

Canongate Elementary School is a winner in the 2011 Single Statewide Accountability System awards (SSAS).  The hard work of our students, faculty, and community has earned Canongate the BRONZE AWARD for outstanding student achievement.  The SSAS competition for a bronze award in the highest performance category is considerable.  Schools must meet 3 criteria to be determined winners:

•  Remain above needs improvement status;

•  Demonstrate that at least 20% of students exceed standards in all test areas as measured by state assessments; and

•  Demonstrate that at least 95% of students meet or exceed standards as measured by state assessments.

It took the collaborative effort of teachers, parents, and administrators working with students to reap this level of success, and we applaud our entire school community for this accomplishment.
