The Communities In Schools Programs are driven by these five basic beliefs:

Ø   Every child needs and deserves a safe place to learn and grow;

Ø   Every child needs and deserves a marketable skill to use upon graduation;

Ø   Every child needs and deserves a chance to give back to peers and community.

Our mission is to champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.

Our vision is to empower all students in Coweta County to successfully prepare for life by promoting the desire to learn and stay in school.

Through private sector leadership in cooperation with schools, CIS takes a community development approach to supporting education by unifying the full resources of the community around children, families, teachers and schools as a support system.  This is what is needed for schools to be more successful but they cannot do it alone…indeed, no organization acting alone can succeed.
