Attention Parents of Grades 3-5!
ChromeBook Rollout Friday, August 12th
Beginning this year, students in Grades 3-5 will be receiving a Chromebook to provide them with digital access to content and continuous communication. In order for your child to receive their Chromebook, you will need to complete the Student/Parent Chromebook Handbook. Please click on this link to complete the process.
Student/Parent Chromebook Handbook (Hard Copy)
Third through fifth grade students are strongly encouraged to purchase a Chromebook cover for the Dell 3120 Chromebook. Students may not decorate their actual Chromebook, however, they can decorate their cover. Decorating and personalizing their cover will make it easy for teachers and students to identify their own device, as well as protect it. Parents may also want to think about getting something big enough to hold the charger as well.
We have awesome new spirit wear in four different designs. Each design is also available in both short and long sleeve. Be sure to get your order in before August 19, 2016!
The first REACH referral period is open from August 1st-August 15th for all students in 1st-5th grades. If you are interested in having your child referred for possible testing, please email Ms. Muzio (marybeth.muzio@cowetaschools.

Brooks Elementary School Now Sends Alerts via Text Messaging
Brooks uses a free educational service that allows educators to communicate safely to parents and students, but standard text messaging rates apply. The messaging number is not a cell phone number, and users can not reply to the message (nor can personal phone numbers be viewed). It is simply a means to send quick reminders to its users. You can read more about the service at http://www.remind101.com .
If you'd like to receive text reminders, send a text to the following number: 404-620-5121. Enter the message "@brooksg".
If you wish to stop subscribing, send a text to 404-620-5121 with the message "stop @brooksg".
You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time.
Our classrooms and Bronco Chorale also have text reminders for parents. Please click here, remind 101 for a complete list of classroom phone numbers and messages to enter.
