Brooks Gives Back
We are so proud of our students and families for all they do to help others in our community.
In October, we collected $418.22 for the Ferst Foundation to help supply books to children in our community.
In November, we collected 14,280 cans for the Coweta County Food Pantry!
The Georgia Parent Survey for the 2013-2014 school year is available for parents to take online. The survey will open through Friday, January 31, 2014. All Coweta parents are invited to participate. You can complete the survey for your child’s school using a personal computer, smartphone or iPad. The survey includes 20 questions about your child’s school, and should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The survey can be found on the Georgia Department of Education’s website, atadmin.doe.k12.ga.us/gadoe/sla/gaparents.nsf/Survey.xsp . For greater convenience, go to the Coweta County School System’s website at www.cowetaschools.org, and click on the Georgia Parent Survey link. This is the first year that the Georgia Parent Survey has been administered by the state of Georgia. Questions on the survey are similar to the school climate questions taken by students and faculty in the Georgia Student Health Survey II and the Georgia School Personnel Survey. Data from the Georgia Parent Survey will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.Thank you for participating.

Brooks Elementary School Now Sends Alerts via Text Messaging
Brooks uses a free educational service that allows educators to communicate safely to parents and students, but standard text messaging rates apply. The messaging number is not a cell phone number, and users cannto reply to the message (nor can personal phone numbers be viewed). It is simply a means to send quick reminders to its users. You can read more about the service at http://www.remind101.com.
If you'd like to receive text reminders, send a text to the following number: 404-620-5121. Enter the message "@brooksg".
If you wish to stop subscribing, send a text to 404-620-5121 with the message "stop @brooksg".
You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time.
Our classrooms and Bronco Chorale also have text reminders for parents. Please click here, remind 101 for a complete list of classroom phone numbers and messages to enter.
