Counseling Program

The counseling program offers students and parents an opportunity to meet with the counselor to discuss healthy growth and development, behavioral, academic, social, and personal concerns. Follow up counseling can be arranged to set goals toward a positive and helpful outcome. Counseling is established to work toward setting and meeting goals that will help the student explore their personal potential and gain skills toward self confidence. Since schools work primarily with attendance, academics, and appropriate behavior, the focus of counseling is targeted toward improvement in these areas. Additional areas within the counseling program include student rewards for positive behavior, good attendance, and academic excellence. The school mentoring program is an extension of the counseling services provided to students who meet the criteria to be considered for a mentor.
