All State Band
Mrs. Wayne would like to recognize the following band students who auditioned at the state level for the Georgia All-State Band (on their instrument) over this past weekend in Perry, GA:
Maria Aguilar, Allie Byrd, Laura Denton, Rebecca Helfers, Sam Pfliger, Jeff Sangster, Allison Vessell
Tucker Jones, Paul Park, Michael Roth
These students exhibit a high level of musicianship and talent through extra practice outside of school and by taking private lessons to even make it to this level. Out of the students mentioned, we have three students who have been selected, by their high performance score, to perform with the best students in the State of Georgia. Thus, these three students are the best band students in the State of Georgia!
Congratulations to 8th graders, Allie Byrd and Sam Pfliger and 7th grader, Paul Park.
We are so proud of you. These three students will perform and represent Arnall Middle School well in Athens, GA for the 2015 Georgia All-State Band! What a huge accomplishment for these students! Congratulations on such a great accomplishment!

Georgia Milestones Assessment – need ear buds
We need your help as we prepare for the Georgia Milestones Assessment. Please consider donating your unused ear buds to Arnall Middle School. A small group of our students will be taking the Georgia Milestones online this year and will require ear buds to listen to the test. You may have never used your ear buds which you received with your cell phones, or may receive some this holiday season. If you’d like to donate ear buds, please send them to Mrs. Jerrell, Counselor at Arnall Middle. For more information about Georgia Milestones, please click the link below for an animated video which provides an overview of our new assessment. The video highlights the purpose of the assessment, the types of questions that students will see, and the types of feedback that students, parents, and educators will receive.http://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/Assessment/Pages/Georgia-Milestones-Assessment-System.aspx
