Culture Tree

Our World Geography project this term will be a report on a country.  Each student has
chosen a country and will  be our resident expert on its culture.  Your child has chosen _______________  on the continent of _________________.  Students may get information from their text book as well as any material they have at home in addition to from the internet.

  1. A  folder or scrapbook which includes:
a.  a title page
b.  a completed "Country Data Sheet"
c.  news clipping, magazine articles, pictures, info from an embassy
d.  a student-drawn map of the country showing important physical and political features,
e.  a one-page report on any aspect of the culture the student finds of interest
     (if bringing food, this could be a description and a recipe)

  1. A student-made ornament symbolizing the country's culture to hang on our tree

  1. An oral presentation to the class to share an interesting cultural aspect of the nation
      (In lieu of this, a guest speaker may be invited.)
4.    the student learned or guest speaker

The final report and presentation are due Wednesday, December 3rd. The culture tree will be on display at the school for all to enjoy.  Please stop by and see it.
