Originally from North Carolina, I left for the Peach State after graduating from high school to attend the State University of West Georgia where I earned a Bachelors in Middle Grades Education and a Masters and Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision. I now reside in Newnan, Georgia with my husband (who is also a middle school teacher) and have taught seventh grade at Arnall Middle School since it opened in 1994.

My husband and I enjoy traveling when we can make the time. Among my favorite travel spots are:  Denver, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Chicago, Grand Cayman Island, Mexico, San Antonio, Portland, Victoria, British Columbia, New York City, Salt Lake City, and Dallas! Other favorite pastimes include reading, going to movies, and web design. Teaching is my passion, and I am thrilled to be back at Arnall after a one-year sabbatical as Georgia's 2003 Teacher of the Year!
