The Goal of the After School
Program is to support the growth and development of children by
providing a supportive, interesting, and adult supervised
environment. The Purpose
of the Coweta County School System After School Program (ASP) is to
provide a safe, structured, and stimulating environment for those
school age children. Our Focus
is to provide a safe and caring environment for qualified students
who are in need of quality after school supervision. Children
are offered indoor/outdoor recreation, arts & crafts, homework time,
and a variety of other activities that promote the physical, social,
and emotional skills that will balance and complete their day.
This service is available each day from 2:30 to 6:00
p.m. on days school is in session.
Dear Parents,
The Coweta County Schools After School Program
affords children a safe and planned program offering structured
homework time as well as activities related to play and artwork.
Also, afternoon snacks are provided for the children each day and
events are planned during the year to highlight a number of seasonal
traditions that children enjoy.
We want you to know that your children are being taken care of in an
environment that provides meaningful development and confidence
building opportunities. The will continue to be our
mission and our focus. Our commitment is to provide children
responsive attentiveness in a value added program that compliments
both the school and the home.
We are pleased to open an eighteenth program this fall at Welch
Elementary School. Talk to your school's ASP Site Coordinator
today if we can be of any further assistance. We look forward
to serving you and your child this year.

General
Information
Students will be offered a variety of activities on a daily basis.
A minimum of thirty minutes of homework time is provided Monday
through Thursday for the students. Please note:
This may not be enough time for all children to
complete homework assignments. It is not the responsibility of
the ASP staff to check, correct, or make sure your child has
completed his/her homework. The
ASP is available in each of the elementary schools where there is
sufficient demand and available personnel. Children in the
Coweta County School System grades PreK-5 that are able to
meaningfully participate, may enroll in this program as long as they
have been properly registered, tuition paid and abide by all school,
Board of Education, and After School Program rules, policies and
procedures. The ASP is not in operation on those Holidays when
the Coweta County School System is closed.
The After School Program is a self-supported,
non-educational, daycare program. The hours of operation are
2:30 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. This service is only available when
